Google Panda Fix 10/12/11
Been hit Panda?
Webmasters will have noticed Google, yet again have launched another devastating blow for websites across the UK and Europe. The Panda came back to bite once again. The aftermath of Panda has caused SERP to dramatically change overnight and remain volatile the last few weeks. You may have also noticed a lot of random sites which have been rewarded with top rankings for their spamming efforts, we can only but hope the Panda comes back for a final meal and cleans these up too.
While many Webmasters sit and wait for SERPs to settle, others simply believe link building and removing thin content is going to be the answer to their problems. I personally and everyone within the digital space I speak to has never spoken to a soul yet who has managed to produce rock solid evidence on overcoming the the claws of the Panda through cleaning up thin content and links.
We have been testing hundreds of different methods of fighting back the Panda and believe we may have just found the perfect solution.
Just like the rest of the world, our key strategy has been concentrating on fixing thin content and poor link building. After noticing very little kickback from all our hard work, we then decided to see how our pages might behave if we change the URL and 301 the old URL back to the new one.
Google Panda Fix Results
In a nutshell, our results showed after two weeks, a lot of pages boosted back to their pre panda rankings! We did also test this using canonical tags, however we found it didn’t work as well.
Seems once the pages have been treated and re-indexed on new URL the panda suddenly has a memory relapse!
Still in the process of playing with this, so would be interested on hearing some feedback from the SEO community on your findings.

Interesting read! How exactly you did a 301 on a old url & new url? U started a subdomain & put all those contents from old url to this newly created?Im confused abt what you mean by old url & new url.Care to explain it?
Example your website is myblog.com/car-rental/
if the car rental page got effected by Panda , change the content and the url to myblog.com/car-rentals : Remembering to 301 the old URL( Example your website is myblog.com/car-rental/) to the newly created version. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply. But the panda affect ur entire site.Right? How do you that a single post/page got affected? One of my blog got affected & from Page 1, currently hovering in page 5.
In our case, the popular blog post is also in page 5 for a specific keyword, similar to the rot domain which is also on page 5 for another keyword
If I understand correctly, Panda affects entire domains and not only specific pages. What I mean is that “low-quality” pages are the ones that trigger the affectation, but at the end whole domains get impacted. IMO, the solution is not as simple as redirecting to new pages or even URL’s.
When redirecting with 301, the value of the previous links is still passed (not completely though), which wouldn’t solve the issue if you still have “spammy” links pointing to your previous page.
Panda influence is unpredictable. It hard to foresee its influence. It has two sides, but still Google Panda made everyone improove and get better. From one side marketing may loose a little for a while, from another side when people will come to the conclusion that the should improve, the web will acquire better aesthetic appeal.
